Fourteen of the top Latin American collegiate players participated in the inaugural game on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the Buick Arena, in Houston, Texas. The game was played on a state of the art Connor Sports QuickLock™ basketball court.

The construction and instillation of the Final Four court begins a year prior to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. For the 2015 court, construction began in the summer of 2014. The court’s construction history is outlined below.

Connor Sports® hosted a “Making the Science Fun” sustainable forestry education event in Amasa, MI today in partnership with the Forest Park (MI) School District to begin the production process for the custom court that will manufactured at Connor’s mill in Amasa for the 2015 NCAA® Men’s Final Four®.

SDSU switched the floor to multilayered hardwood maple product from Connor Sports Flooring, a nationally recognized manufacturer. Installed on top of a subfloor, the new Permaflex maple court creates a "floating" floor system. The floorboards are anchored and provided shock absorption through a vapor barrier, resilient "Rezill" pads, a steel channel-encased base and "flex sleepers" at the upper and lower contact points between the boards and concrete subfloor. Connor markets the floor as providing greater stability and uniform high-ball rebound.

Connor Sport Court International Celebrates 75 Years of March Madness with the Final Four® Floor Tour The 8th Official Final Four® Floor makes tour stops along the way to the Georgia Dome   AMASA, MICHIGAN—March 15, 2013—Connor Sport Court International will celebrate 75 years of March Madness with the 2013 Final Four® Floor Tour. Local Company in Salt Lake City Provides the Court for the NCAA® Men’s and Women’s Final Fours® SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—March 19, 2013—Connor Sport Court International will provide the NCAA® Final Four® floor for the eighth year in a row. The Salt Lake City based company, Connor Sport Court International, supplies floors for the NCAA® and stores some of their portable floors to be reused for March Madness® elimination rounds each year. The NCAA® owns the official Connor Sport Court International floors for the first, second and third rounds to be reused each year.

AMASA, MICHIGAN—March 15, 2013—The small town of Amasa, Michigan homes the manufacturing plant that built the last eight Final Four® courts including the 2013 floor for the Georgia Dome.   Amasa, Michigan, population 250, has produced the court for the NCAA® Final Four® for the past eight years. The town houses one of the manufacturing operations of Connor Sport Court International, the company responsible for the creation of the northern maple surface featured each year during the Final Four®.
