North Central College remodeled their track and field facility with ProTraxx from Connor Sports and dedicated the new track to Al Carius’ father. Al Carius has coached men’s cross country at North Central for 50 years and has become a Champion of Sport and of the North Central community.

The year 2015 has been busy and exciting for Connor Sports. We have had the opportunity to participate in events across the globe. Through these events and interactions with the communities we served, we learned the core essence of our company – that Connor Sports is Where Champions PlayTM!

Last year, Connor Sports found someone whose passion, kindness, determination and love for sport and life defined a true champion – Lauren Hill. Hill’s strength and fight stretched beyond her November 2nd baskets and Connor Sports saw this. The gratitude, humility and “never give up attitude” of Hill resonated with Connor Sports and inspired us to do more. In hopes of passing Hill’s “never give up attitude” to other MSJ students, Connor Sports teamed up with Mt. St. Joseph’s Development Department to establish the Lauren Hill Connor Sports Award.

The largest Boys and Girls Club basketball court in the United States, totaling 15,000 square feet, was installed by Long Flooring this month at the Ralph Wilson Youth Club (RWYC) in Temple, TX. The square footage of the new RWYC basektball court is impressive but the mission RWYC will carry out on the basketball court is even more astounding.

Every year, when the lineup for the college hoops marathon is released, we get giddy! The 24-hour marathon is an exciting time for us. It marks the start of a college basketball season that begins on a Connor Sports basketball court, at the Armed Forces Classic and Champions Classic, and ends on a Connor Sports basketball court, at the Final Four.

Every year, Connor Sports installs hundreds of basketball courts across the globe. Rarely do installations have a strong personal connection for our company and our employees. The Armed Forces Classic does.

Connor Sports has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Forest Service that will be used to support a major boiler automation project to improve the efficiency of the company’s manufacturing mill in Amasa, MI. The U.S. Forest Service Woody Biomass Grants are for wood energy projects around the country to help expand regional economies and create new jobs, while reducing dependency on fossil fuels and encouraging the increased use of biomass fuel sources.

As Champions of Sport, we provide surfaces ideal for practice and competition. Connor Sports Tractions Systems’ shock resistance, resiliency and cushion allow athletes to practice five-to-six days a week without injury and long recovery times, allowing athletes maximum preparation time and competitive performances.

In 2008, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo led the Celts to their 17th and most recent Championship. This year, when time came around again for a new floor, who else would the Celtics turn to but Connor Sports, Kenvo Floor Co. and Randy Randjelovic. At Connor Sports, we are all very proud and excited to lead this project. How often do you get an opportunity to carry on the tradition of truly hallowed ground?
