North Central College remodeled their track and field facility with ProTraxx from Connor Sports and dedicated the new track to Al Carius’ father. Al Carius has coached men’s cross country at North Central for 50 years and has become a Champion of Sport and of the North Central community.

Erija Nealeigh Receives the Inaugural Lauren Hill Connor Sports Award
Last year, Connor Sports found someone whose passion, kindness, determination and love for sport and life defined a true champion – Lauren Hill. Hill’s strength and fight stretched beyond her November 2nd baskets and Connor Sports saw this. The gratitude, humility and “never give up attitude” of Hill resonated with Connor Sports and inspired us to do more. In hopes of passing Hill’s “never give up attitude” to other MSJ students, Connor Sports teamed up with Mt. St. Joseph’s Development Department to establish the Lauren Hill Connor Sports Award.

The largest Boys and Girls Club basketball court in the United States, totaling 15,000 square feet, was installed by Long Flooring this month at the Ralph Wilson Youth Club (RWYC) in Temple, TX. The square footage of the new RWYC basektball court is impressive but the mission RWYC will carry out on the basketball court is even more astounding.

Champions of Environment: Connor Sports Receives U.S. Forest Service Grant
Connor Sports has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Forest Service that will be used to support a major boiler automation project to improve the efficiency of the company’s manufacturing mill in Amasa, MI. The U.S. Forest Service Woody Biomass Grants are for wood energy projects around the country to help expand regional economies and create new jobs, while reducing dependency on fossil fuels and encouraging the increased use of biomass fuel sources.
